From cows to pigs.
In 1980, with a brand-new degree from Penn State, I began my career with the PA Holstein Association by helping farmers market and sell their registered Holsteins. Five years later, I was marketing and selling pigs... not the cute, curly-tailed kind but the patented absorbent sock kind. We were the #1 brand in our industry niche and we passionately served thousands of companies domestically and internationally. We experienced growth challenges, with over 500 employees and multiple subsidiaries and acquisitions.
Getting in on the ground floor of a start-up was exciting and, undoubtedly, the best way to learn what it takes to build and brand a multi-million-dollar company. As the organization grew so did I: from directing an award-winning creative and marketing department, to managing innovative product development projects, to leading a sales and customer service team, leading a multi-million-dollar acquisition effort and serving on multiple boards.
After a three decade-long journey in direct marketing, product development, sales and customer service, and a variety of intangibles, I’ve decided to "start-up" my own coaching business. I am an IPEC (Institution for Professional Excellence in Coaching) Certified Professional Coach.
Leaders have big shoes to fill, which include retaining the right people, creating a unique strategy, and being the best at execution. As a coach I bring experience and automatic accountability.
